René Raymond est décédé le samedi 6 juin á l’hôpital St-Luc à Montreal. René était membre du conseil d’administration de la Société canadienne du sida de 1989 à 1995. Il en a été le Président de 1993 à 1995. Il a également été membre du conseil d’administration du Mouvement d’information et d’entraide dans la lutte contre le sida à Québec (MIELS) et il a développé un centre d’hébergement pour PVVIH à Québec. René a très activement contribué au développement de la réponse communautaire internationale au sida.

 

René était une personne passionnée et dévouée à la lutte contre le VIH-sida et il sera regretté par tous ceux et celles qui l’ont connu.

Rene Raymond died Saturday, June 6 at St. Luc Hospital in Montreal. Rene was a member of the Board of Directors of the Canadian AIDS Society from 1989 to 1995. He was President from 1993 to 1995. He also served on the board of the Movement of information and help in the fight against AIDS in Quebec (HONEY) and developed a shelter for PLWHA in Quebec. Rene has very actively contributed to the development of the international community response to AIDS.

Rene was a passionate person and dedicated to the fight against HIV / AIDS and he will be missed by everyone who knew him.
