Todd Armstrong left this world peacefully on Sunday September 14th, 2003. He was greatly loved, a remarkable man who inspired many. His devotion to helping others was felt from coast to coast to coast. From his work as founding executive director for Bruce House in Ottawa to his internationally recognized HIV prevention and education work with the Inuit in Canada, Todd truly touched the lives of those around him.
Todd was the loving partner of Andre Cyr and the much loved father of Audla Geetah-Cyr. He was predeceased by his parents, Fred Armstrong and Shirley Thompson of Sarnia and his son Blake Mason. He will be deeply missed by his brothers and sisters, Ron Armstrong (Sandy), Rick Armstrong (Pam), Mark Armstrong (Muriel), Marsha Armstrong, Melodie Croucher (Tom) and Dale Armstrong (Marilyn). Todd leaves behind many dear friends, of which many were like family, especially Franco Buscemi, who was like his son, his wife Miali, daughter Neevee and son Sam.
Todd also leaves behind the Inuit community that he had come to view as his own and will be forever remembered as the “sex man of the Arctic”.
