Remembering the Canadian AIDS Society in Your Will
Leave a lasting contribution in the fight against AIDS.
Remembering the Canadian AIDS Society in your will is a simple and inexpensive procedure.
You need only contact your lawyer with your intentions. Your lawyer will add a clause or a codicil to your current will, worded something like this:
“I give, devise and bequeath [amount/gift] to the Canadian AIDS Society, having its office at 190 O’Connor Street, Suite 100, Ottawa, Ontario K2P 2R3 and I declare that the release of the person who professes to be the Executive Director or other proper officer for the time being of the Canadian AIDS Society shall be a sufficient discharge thereof.”
You can also specify if you wish the contribution to be dedicated for a particular program, for example: scholarships for people with HIV to attend the annual People Living With HIV/AIDS Forum (or similar), or for projects centred around youth, women, housing, etc…
