2016 CAS Leadership Award Winner: Scotiabank

Scotiabank was recognized for their many years of support and dedication to the Scotiabank AIDS Walk. Martin MacCool, Scotiabank’s District Vice President for Winnipeg received the award on behalf of Scotiabank.

Quote from Mr. MacCool on receiving the award:

As we all know, HIV/AIDS affects people of all ages, genders and ethnicities across our country and around the world.

Yet, still, stigma and discrimination associated with the illness continue.

Through the Scotiabank AIDS Walk, the Bank is very proud to raise awareness and funds for this important cause.

At Scotiabank, we believe in fighting this stigma and supporting the communities in which we live and work to help them become healthier and stronger.

The Bank’s culture of inclusion is about providing a positive and rewarding experience for our customers and for our employees – we all have a responsibility to help foster an inclusive culture, and do our part toward the removal of barriers.

At Scotiabank, we truly believe that Inclusion Makes Us Stronger!

Thank you, again to the Canadian AIDS Society for this important recognition and for your continued dedication and hard work to make a strong impact on communities across the country.
