For the past several years, the Canadian AIDS Society have hosted a People Living with HIV (PLWHIV) Forum which brings together people living with HIV across Canada to help review CAS’ work for the year and to set directions for the future. The 2017 Forum held in Regina was a success because it helped empower participants and set a positive tone for subsequent work.
In the last Forum, each region voted to elect a representative to sit on a GIPA Steering Committee to create a roadmap for the future. As promised, here is the practical GIPA Roadmap developed by the Committee and CAS in January 2018. We hope this inspirational document will guide you for months and years ahead and will help you get more involved through Advocacy, volunteering or working in our sector.
