Mark Creighan (1971 – 2006)

Our colleague and friend, Mark Creighan, died on April 24, 2006. Mark’s quiet, yet strong and devoted presence in the office of the Canadian AIDS Society will be sorely missed by all those who have worked and have been touched by him.

Mark first worked at CAS in 1995 and has held many positions within the organization, leaving for a period and returning in 2002 as Media Relations Officer. With a knowledge and interest of all things political, Mark was instrumental in the work carried out on behalf of CAS’ members in advocating for additional funds to the Canadian Strategy on HIV/AIDS. Mark was a key player in developing and delivering AIDS awareness campaigns and he never tired of delivering messages of hope and awareness on behalf of people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.

Mark loved his friends and developed many close relationships within the Ottawa community. Mark’s booming laughter and his social nature will be remembered by all.
