Annual Meeting announcement

While the CAS PLWHIV Forum and Annual Meeting have traditionally been held consecutively in the past, with the Annual Meeting held immediately after the Forum, the format changed this year due to financial constraints.  This year, our Annual Meeting will be a business meeting in a webinar format.

Though the in-person meetings have benefits which we will certainly miss, the technology of the webinar format also offers us unique advantages including the ability to participate directly from wherever we are located in the country without the cost of travelling and related inconveniences.  We hope the use of webinars will increase participation in the Annual Meeting by representatives of all our member organizations and also encourage attendance to other meetings that may be held in a similar format.

The Annual Meeting provides an opportunity to share information, discuss new ideas and contribute to policy development and review the future direction and priorities for the community-based HIV movement in Canada.

To this end, we request Executive Directors of CAS member organizations to attend the Annual Meeting webinar or assign a delegate who has full authority to make decisions on behalf of your organization. We look forward to engaging with each other at the meeting.
