Please join us in welcoming Ken Miller (he/him) to the Canadian AIDS Society as the new Executive Director. Ken Miller has worked in front-line roles in this sector previously. He has experience counselling, coordinating, and managing in the fields of mental health and substance use, homelessness and within indigenous organizations. Some of these roles included coordinating support services within peer-led initiatives which allowed Ken to better see and understand how GIPA/MEPA positively affects the outcomes for people living with HIV. Ken has experience leading a grassroots 2SLGBTQQIA+ organization and providing support on a national level. Ken is excited about this new opportunity and accepts the challenges of working for an organization such as this. He truly believes in what this organization can achieve and looks forward to connecting with the membership, community, and stakeholders to support people living with HIV and advocate for resources across Canada from the federal government. He believes this unique lens will help to prove further beneficial to the lives of the communities he serves.
Ken, his partner, and their dogs live outside of Thunder Bay. Ken’s lived experiences have always guided him in his journey and helped him to understand the multidimensional aspects of the human experience in a way that builds stronger connections and professional relationships.
We hope that you will connect with Ken as we seek to support the direction of the HIV movement across Canada.
