Thursday, February 9, at 1:00 pm EST

The Canadian AIDS Society and our partners our pleased to invite you to a webinar session looking at housing as harm reduction for at-risk women. The presentation will focus on Brigid’s Place, a transitional housing program in Ottawa, Ontario that provides housing to eleven at-risk women.

The mandate of this low barrier/harm reduction transitional housing program is to support the most marginalized and street-entrenched women who cannot access other housing options due to factors such as active addictions, mental health issues, past trauma, sex trade and other challenges. This presentation will discuss the initial development of Brigid's Place, as well as the challenges and successes of this type of program.

This presentation will be about 40 minutes long with 20 minutes for Q&A at the end. This session is recommended for both service providers and organizations currently involved in harm reduction and those looking to improve their organizations harm reduction strategies and programming surrounding at-risk women and housing.

This webinar will be in English but will be put on the CAS website with French translation as soon as possible.
