Webinar – April 24, 2012 - The Canadian HIV/AIDS Black, African and Caribbean Network (CHABAC): platform for action for future of HIV service provision for African, Caribbean and Black communities in Canada.

The Canadian AIDS Society, together with the Interagency Coalition on AIDS and Development, and CHABAC, held a webinar on April 24, 2012 that lasted just under an hour and featured a presentation on CHABAC, how and why the network developed, what the network is and where it is headed.

The four co-presenters were:

• Robert Bardston, CHABAC Steering Committee member (Medicine Hat, Alberta)
• Shayna Buhler, Senior Program Officer at the Interagency Coalition on AIDS Development (ICAD)
• Valérie Pierre- Pierre, Director at the African and Caribbean Council on HIV/AIDS in Ontario (ACCHO)
• Wangari Tharao, Program and Research manager at Women’s Health In Women’s Hands (WHIWH) Community Health Centre

This session was recommended for service providers working with African, Caribbean and Black communities, policy-makers, and all those who want to improve the response to HIV/AIDS in Canada’s African, Caribbean and Black communities.
