Background

Gay men in Canada constitute a population that experiences significant disparities in their health and wellness. These disparities, including HIV/AIDS, are not simply a health issue, but also an issue needing a vision of social change aimed at overcoming social inequalities and addressing underlying causes including injustice, ignorance, poverty, violence, racism, sexism, homophobia and heterosexism.

2. What can your party do to ensure that the disparities and gaps in accessing appropiate health care for gay men become a priority issue on the Canadian health agenda?
