The Canadian AIDS Society endorses and promotes the Principles of Greater Involvement of People Living With or Affected by HIV/AIDS (GIPA) as outlined by the UNAIDS working definition.
GIPA empowers people living with HIV/AIDS to take a leading role in the work that most affects them, acknowledging the valuable contribution they make in advancing the HIV/AIDS movement.
CAS also offers events and programs that support GIPA by providing opportunities for people living with HIV/AIDS to enhance their leadership skills, share their experience and advocate for their own rights and needs.
