Recognizing that healthy sexual attitudes and behaviours are essential to preventing transmission of HIV/AIDS, CAS promotes a sex-positive perspective.

With discrimination due to homophobia and heterosexism contributing to increased risk behaviour for HIV, we encourage an open attitude towards sexuality and want people to talk about it, to embrace the joys it has to offer and to celebrate it, in all of its diverse forms.

CAS offers prevention strategies to reduce the risk of contracting HIV through sexual contact and examines issues and attitudes surrounding HIV/AIDS and sexuality.
