Housing is a right that many of us take for granted. For people living with HIV/AIDS, however, housing is crucial to their treatment.
Adequate housing assists people living with HIV/AIDS in following treatment regimens and increases their ability to fight off illness. In addition, reducing homelessness will also help reduce the number of new infections of HIV.
For those reasons, CAS works to promote awareness of the link between homelessness and HIV and encourages the development of housing programs and supports so vital to people living with HIV/AIDS.
