About the Canadian AIDS Society

The Canadian AIDS Society (CAS) is the national voice of people living with HIV/AIDS in Canada. Representing more than 120 community-based AIDS organizations across the country, we strengthen the response to HIV/AIDS in Canada and enrich the lives of people and communities living with HIV/AIDS.

We accomplish this by:

    • promoting education and awareness
    • mobilizing communities
    • advocating at the federal public policy level
    • providing information and resources

CAS' work covers a broad spectrum of HIV/AIDS issues, including, but not limited to, gay men and MSM, women and youth, ethnocultural populations, new prevention technologies, including vaccines and microbicides, and harm reduction.

CAS has been a registered charity since 1998.
