Module 8 - One Foot Forward: A GIPA Training Toolkit - Can We Talk? Treatment and Options, A New Dialogue

This resource offers people living with HIV/AIDS a complete guide to patient rights and choosing the treatment that’s right for them. With an accompanying DVD video, it walks them through a treatment journey with tips on how to: actively participate in treatment selection; effectively engage with their health care providers; and, research all of their choices. It explains the many treatment options available, how they work and their potential side effects. A Facilitator’s Section rounds out the guide, encouraging group training on how to apply the GIPA principles to starting or changing treatment.
